Christie Brinkley has never been one to fade into the woodwork. After a bit of time off, the 52-year-old supermodel recently made a resplendent return to the spotlight at The Skin Cancer Foundation's recent annual Skin Sense Awards Gala.

Long considered one of the world's most beautiful women, Brinkley cut such a figure in her black and silver form-fitting gown that she prompted interviewer AJ Calloway of NBC-TV's EXTRA to ask admiringly: “You live in a beach community. How do you keep your skin so beautiful, so fresh, and so young?”

Her answer was short but sweet. “Lots and lots of sunblock, and hats,” she said.
